Grown on the Easy Road Vineyard at Merricks North on the Mornington Peninsula, we manage the vineyard ourselves along with our friend and local Garry Kiernan.
The grapes are harvested then trucked to Burnt Acre where they are whole-bunch pressed to release the juice and made in a barrel-fermented style with 9 months aging on lees prior to bottling. Three different yeast strains are used during fermentation, with the intention of making a wine with many facets and layers.
The Chardonnay from this site is showing beautiful bottle development over recent vintages with 5-6 years being optimum drinking age.
Much of this wine is pre-ordered and only 50 cases are available.
